Mac Posh Paradise - Part Haul

Hey Hey Lovely Ladies!
Here is the first part of my Posh Paradise Haul!
In this part I received 4 paint pots and 1 Mattene Lipstick

The Paint Pots I received were: Half Wild, Nubile, Pure Creation and Hyperviolet.
The Mattene was: Naked Bliss.

Unboxed Items :)

Half-Wild was Uber smooth, lovely creamy finish and a beautiful mid tone purple.

Hyperviolet pulled and tugged a little in order to swatch (as you will see in the pic below) this color has quite a strong red base.

Nubile reminds me of a pink version of painterly I am super excited to try this as it seems like a great every day color, this color was very easy to spread also, much easier than painterly.

Pure creation is way out of my comfort zone :)

the first blue anything I have purchased!! This color is reminiscent of the mega metal eye shadows, I can definitely see the frost finish. I think I will try this under a purple eyeshadow.

Last but not least is my Mattene :)
This color is so so wearable!! it is a beautiful natural color that is not dry like regular matte lipsticks.

Mac Me Over Haul

Hey Guys,

I have decided to show you the goodies I purchased from the Mac Me Over Collection :)

First Item I would like to show you is the Lady Grey quad.

This is, in my opinion the 2nd best quad MAC has ever released (the smoke signals being first!!)

The colors are as follows: - All Races (matte) - Tendersmoke (frost)
                                      -Lady Grey (satin)  - Hazy Day (Veluxe Pearl)

This quad is capable of creating an eye without using any other shadows which I find really helpful in the mornings. So far I have been using All races on the first 2/3's of the lid and Tendersmoke in the crease.

Next, I only purchased one fluid line from this collection as I already owned Dark Diversion and the other two colors did not really appeal to me.
This color, I find to go really well to line the upper lids with when using the previous collection (Semi-Precious) Mineralize eyeshadow in Faux Gold, in fact any golden color would look lovely with this!

The blush I purchased from the collection is Stunner, This blush has a satin finish on my NW35 skin tone, this color is quite subtle which some people may not like but I find it good for a "no makeup look" with a little highlight above. Very pretty for spring also.

Next up we have a cream color base in Seaside.
Seaside has a frost finish. I don't know why I really purchased this as I have Hush CCB and find them very similar, however it is a really pretty color.

On to the eye shadows, Here we have Carbonzied.
Carbonized is a Veluxe pearl finish (which seems to be the most popular) The color is quite original compared to anything in the permanent line. It looks great on the edges of the eye with my Lady grey combination quad just to dress up for evenings.

Here we  have Creamy Bisque (frost finish)

I purchased creamy bisque as I wanted (another) color that could help me achieve a Jerseylicious eye :)

In my opinion that is to have a really light color on the lid and an extreme black in the crease. Will let you know how that goes for me :)

Last of the eye shadows is Moleskin. (Matte formula)
Moleskin, I believe should work well to blend out harsh crease colors as it does not sway too orange as many of the lighter brown matte colors do.

Next up we have just one lipglass (Can't believe my self control!!)

The lipglass is in color Curvaceous, this is a real Kim Kardashian color goes well with a dark smokey eye.

The mailman came just as I was writing this post with my 226 brush, this brush is a re promote and is supposed to be the Holy grail of all things blending!! I will let you know what I think

Top Picks - Makeup Blogs/Sites

Hey Guys!
I thought it would be fun to share some of my favourite makeup/beauty blogs with you all :)

These are in no particular order

www.temptalia.com - I love Christine's site so much!!! Christine is the only blogger (I know off) that reviews every single Mac collection and product that comes out with it. She will usually review before US date also which is great for preparation!!!
Her reviews work of a rating system, some don't necessarily agree with this however for me, when something is given full points I look twice as I trust her opinion and truly believe all her opinions are honest!! (She was also chosen to create her own Mac eyeshadow!!)

www.macshadowcombos.com - Zabrena is such a sweet heart!! out of all the blogs I reached out too she took the time to comment on here!!
What I like best about Zabrena's blog is that it is 1) original and 2) targets a wider audience of MAC lovers.
Zabrena does not get wrapped up in all the new Mac collections, but rather introduces permanent colors into her combinations so that it is much more affordable and easy to get your hands on. I also love the fact that she gives me new ideas as to how to use my already existing eye shadows!!

www.specktra.net - Specktra Is not so much an individual blog but more so a forum. Basically each collection is given a page and people from all around the world report on what they are expecting, what they would like to see in collections, new released info and links to other pages. Once collections launch people start to comment on what they bought, what they did with it etc etc. Most die hard Mac fans will be found on Specktra.

These are the blogs that I follow RELIGIOUSLY there are plenty more fantastic blogs out there.

MAC Cosmetics Counter to open in Marion Shopping Centre

EXCITING NEWS!
I reached out to MAC Australia in regards to a rumour I had heard about a MAC Store opening in Westfield Shopping Centre.

IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED We will see a 3rd store shortly :)

There response was as follows

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us and for your interest in M.A.C
We are working on a M.A.C Counter in Westfield Marion.The counter will not be a Pro Store."

So there you have it another counter we can all get addicted too :)

Fake Versus Authentic Mac Eyeshadows

Hey Guys first Post please pass on any feedback you may have :)

I understand we all want a bargain and in Australia MAC is very expensive! we pay $33 per eyeshadow from counters.
I'm hoping this review will be helpful to some and help you all save money and get a fair, legitamate product.

I think it is a good idea for a new MAC eyeshadow buyer to purchase their first eyeshadow from the counter, this way you have a definate authentic to compare with. I also keep all my MAC boxes (a whole cupboard full) so that if I am every wary of a product i have plenty of legitimate packaging to compare!

FAKE VERSUS AUTHENTIC
The Box
*The box will have a sticker on the top lip with the name (the real have name only NO NUMBERS!!)

*The front will say EYE SHADOW FARD A' PAUPIERES above the round cut out and NET WT./POIDS NET 1.5G/.05 US OZ E on the bottom front. WATCH FOR CORRECT SPELLING

*There will be a barcode on the bottom with  a serial number below and above will have a 3 digit code i.e - A99

*The back of the box will have text on the bottom LHS

The eyeshadow

*The box will be matte not shiny! with MAC written on it the dots between ma and ac will be small!

*Inside the eyeshadow will sit in from the lid (the fakes sometimes are raised)

-*The clasp will be on the base (fakes are commonly on the lid)

*The lid will be flush, not raised!

*the sticker on the base will contain  the name and the finish i.e - veluxe pearl, frost, matte etc, all this will be in white

*The same 3 digit number (i.e A99 as mentioned) will be in black on the back
